The formula for calculating the Zodiacal sign of a place is a wonderful invention in the field of predictive astrology. It has many uses; one is to know probable trends of the kingdom in the upcoming year, using the annual horoscope of the state or country. Many special natural, social, and political incidents happen every year in the state. Some natural, sometimes social, and political events prove to be painful for the public. We get to see the pre-signs of all such incidents in the annual horoscope of the state or country. Natural accidents, changes in governance, danger to the king, and social upheavals such as riots, etc., can be predicted accurately from the year horoscope of the state. There is economic loss due to riots, and many lives and the respect of women are also at stake. Here I am presenting a brief study of the annual horoscope about it. Knowing these incidents ahead of time, we can make proper arrangements for their prevention.

The zodiac sign of a country or state's capital can tell a lot about its political activities. The trend of elections to be held in a particular year, the general condition of the country's people, riots, natural calamities, and foreign relations can be known in advance. I have already written many times about election trends successfully.

The transit of planets over the zodiac sign of the country indicates much about its current status. The well-known rules of transit applicable in nativity are also relevant here. Let us observe in brief-

1-    Malefic Planet`s transit from the 1^st, 4^th, 8^th, and 12^th from the natal zodiac sign of the country proves bad, and the 5^th, 7^th, and 9^th places are also sensitive. The 4^th, 8^th, and 12^th places are bad for transit for any planet. The benefic planet here withdraws its protection.

2-    Generally, benefic planets from trine houses prove good, especially when they are not ruling the natal 6^th, 8^th, or 12^th house.

Israel is on a war strike nowadays. It is simultaneously at war with the Gaza strip-Palestine, Iran, and Lebanon. The countries' mutual zodiac signs develop conflict when there are 2nd-12th, 6-8^th, 4-10^th, and 1-7^th zodiac relationships, especially when they are not in a good Tara relationship.

Israel (Jerusalem, 31° 47` N and 35° 13` E) is Aquarius with Purvabhadrapad Nakshatra, and Gaza City, 31° 30` 53” N and 34° 27` 15” E is Pisces with Uttrabhadrapad Nakshatra. Iran (Tehran, 35° 41` 21” N and 51° 23` 20” E) is Scorpio with Anuradha Nakshatra, and Lebanon (Beirut, 33° 54` N and 35° 32` E) is Pisces with Uttrabhadrapad Nakshatra. These three countries have a 2nd-12th and 4th-10th zodiac relationship with Israel.

All the odd Taras, except the natal Tara, are generally not good. The 9^th Tara was named as a fast friend, but proves more harmful. It maintains pressure and proves to be destructive during the war.

Hamas, based in the Gaza Strip, launched a major terrorist attack on Israel on October 7, 2023. Let us see the transit position of planets.

Saturn is at the natal sign of Aquarius over the 9^th Tara for Israel. Rahu in the 3^rd house may be good, but Jupiter is not praiseworthy here. Mars and Ketu are in the natal 9^th house, and the Sun is in the 8^th. The 6^th lord`s transit from the natal trine and 7^th house always proves uncomfortable to the country, more so when it is strong even at its own sign. Here, the 6^th lord Moon is in the natal 5^th house. Most of the planets are adversely transiting for Israel. But Saturn is at the natal sign as the owner of it, not too bad within the aspect of its exaltation lord, Venus.

Saturn in Aquarius is worst for Gaza, as it is 12^th place from its natal sign, Pisces! Jupiter has no support, as it shifted to the sign Taurus after a few months, 3^rd place from Pisces. So, attacking Israel proved to be a big mistake for Hamas. Almost the same is the position for Iran's fourth Saturn and Lebanon's 12^th Saturn.

Whenever Saturn transits Capricorn, the natal sign of India, it receives some kind of serious threat from China. In October 1962, when China attacked India, Saturn was at the natal sign, and Nakshatra Capricorn, Sravana. The Galwan Valley border clashes with China in June 2020 resulted from Capricorn Saturn.

All the odd Tara except natal Tara proves bad, but those falls in the 4-8-12^th houses are adverse in the result. So, countries ruled by such zodiac areas leave no chance to obstruct. According to India, some such countries are as follows.

Pakistan (Islamabad, 33°41`30” N and 73°03`00” E) is ruled by Aries and Aswani Nakshatra, Canada (Ottawa, 45°24` N and 75°40` W) is Sagittarius and Moola, and recently Bangladesh shifted from Cancer to Leo of Magha, which does not have a good attitude towards India. Some other countries with such unsupportive zodiac areas are Qatar (Doha, 25°18` N, 51°31` E), Leo with Magha, South Africa (Cape Town), Sagittarius with Moola. Some others are Madagascar, Morocco, Namibia, the Philippines, etc.

The 9^th Tara always tries to suppress. It proves to be very good as a Guru, Captain, Father, ruler, etc., but it hinders mutual relations of equality and is very destructive and ruthless in war.

China (Beijing, 39°55` N, and 116°23` E) is Taurus, Krittika Nakshatra, which falls in the 9^th Tara from India`s Sravana. It always tries to suppress India. Russia is Virgo with Hasta, and Ukraine is Virgo with Chitra. Right now, Russia is trying to tear Ukraine apart. However, this is also appropriate for Russia because it is the guardian country of Ukraine, and Ukraine's attempt to join NATO is not appropriate against Russia.

The Vietnam War was a conflict between the United States and North Vietnam that lasted from 1955 to 1975. Vietnam (Hanoi, 21°01`42” N and 105°51`15” E) is Aquarius with Shatbhisha Nakshatra, and the USA (38°53`52” N and 77°02`11” W) is Aquarius with Purvabhadrapad. Despite being a developed country, the USA could not defeat Vietnam, and it gave the USA a hard time. Being the same zodiac sign, planets offer the same favor for both countries. Israel also rules the 9^th Tara from Gaza`s natal Nakshatra.

Japan (Tokyo, 35°41`23`` N, and 139°41`32`` E) is Leo, Purbaphalguni Nakshatra, and China is Taurus, Krittika Nakshatra. So, Japan is ruled by the 9^th Tara group from China`s natal Nakshatra. Japan attacked China twice. For the first time in 1894, China was badly defeated. The second time, during World War II, the Japanese army committed horrific atrocities in China.

Azerbaijan (Baku 4025 N and 4950 E) is the uttarashad of Capricorn, falling in the 9^th group of Taras for India takes us as an enemy and openly supports Pakistan during war.

Whenever two countries ruled by the same or trine sign and Nakshatra, and engaged in war, leave no satisfactory result. Generally, such countries remain friends and support each other.

The governance of each country reflects the nature of the zodiac sign and constellation of its capital.

Malefic transit, including Uranus from the natal 10^th house, leads to loss during a war. The transit of the most functional malefic and same time naturally cruel planet from the 10^th house increases pressure from the enemy countries. Regarding India, the Sun's transit from the Libra (natal 10^th house) and trine signs, Aquarius and Gemini, creates such possibilities often.

Many incidents prove my findings, but I am not quoting them as the write-up may go long unnecessarily.

The Sign Pisces also rules the Jammu and Kashmir areas. The best decision favoring this region was during the trine transit of benefic Jupiter. Accession was possible only during the Pisces transit of Jupiter, and abrogation of Article 370 was during the Scorpio transit. However, the recent assembly election after the abrogation of Article 370 was not held at a good timing astrologically in September 2024. Saturn is 12^th at Aquarius, Rahu at the natal sign, and Jupiter is 3^rd at Taurus. Next year, when Saturn will be in the natal sign Pisces, Rahu in the 12^th at Aquarius, and 4^th Jupiter in Gemini would be worst for this area after the abrogation of Article 370. It is wise to postpone complete statehood status for it right now.

The Nakshatras ruled by the sign lord are good and hold some goodness even when falling in a bad Tara. The Nakshatras ruled by Saturn are so for India, but these fall in the 5^th group of bad Tara, as India is ruled by Sravana. So, only mixed results are possible during their operation. At the time of India`s independence, one of them, Pushya, was the ruler of the day. As a result of this, one good thing was independence, and a bad thing was the partition of the country and many dreadful riots. Some countries ruled by such zodiac areas are England (Pushya), Maldives (Pushya), Iran (Anuradha), Argentina (Anuradha), Lebanon (Uttarabhadrapad), Niger (Pushya), Peru (Anuradha), etc.

Countries ruled by the natal Tara in a trine sign generally prove good and maintain good friendships for a long time. Russia (Hasta), Tibet (Hasta), Afghanistan (Rohini), Austria (Sravana), Bhutan (Hasta), Cameroon (Sravana), Malavi (Sravana), Nauru (Sravana), Nicaragua (Hasta), Moldova (Hasta), Poland (Sravana), Romania (Hasta), Scotland (Hasta), Saudi Arabia – Riyadh (Hasta), etc. are with positive attitude to India.

The zodiac ranges in a benefic sign, the 1-5-9^th, 7^th, 11^th, and 10^th from the natal sign, within a benefic Tara proves extremely good for the country in question. The 2^nd sign is also almost good with some deficiency. The 3^rd and 6^th signs from the natal sign provide mediocre results only.

Some such countries are as follows. Some of them are good helpers of India, and India should make efforts towards them. These are UAE (Cancer- Punarvasu), Taiwan (Scorpio- Vishakha), Netherlands (Amsterdam, Cancer-Punarvasu), Haiti (Cancer-Punarvasu), Georgia (Pisces- Purvabhadra), France (Taurus- Mrigshira), Germany (Pisces- Revati), Ethiopia (Addis Ababa, Cancer-Punarvasu), Cambodia (Scorpio-Jyestha), Cuba (Scorpio-Jyestha), Belize (Scorpio-Jyestha), Belarus (Scorpio-Jyestha), etc.

: - How to calculate the zodiacal sign of a Place/State/Country-

Take the longitude and latitude of the place in question. Convert them into degrees. Out of them, use the North and East coordinates with a plus (+) mark and the South and West coordinates with a minus (-) mark.

Zodiac sign = 9 (Latitude – Longitude)

Then make the resultant figure within 360 degrees, after deducting or adding, as many times as the value of 360. It must be within 360 degrees and with a plus mark, and then convert into a Zodiac sign, providing 30 degrees for each sign. The nearest Navamsa-pada should increase the value we get. This is the Zodiac sign of place. But for political purposes, we should extend it up to the last limit of the star but within the same sign.

India (New Delhi) 28°36`50” N or 28.6139° N and 77°12`32” or 77.2089°

The Formula

Zodiac sign= 9 (Latitude – Longitude); put values in degrees

= 9(28.6139-77.2089)

= 9 (-48.595) → -437.355; make this figure within 360 degrees and only with a plus sign

= -437.355+360+360

=282.645 degrees; convert them into signs, providing 30 degrees for each sign. So, we get

= 9s 12°39` means Capricorn sign with Sravana star.

= And for political purposes, it is 9s 23°20`

I think the formula for calculating the zodiac sign of a place is universally applicable. Just observe these two events related to the Moon.

1-   Apollo 11 was the space flight that landed the first humans on the Moon, Neil Armstrong and Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin Jr., at 20h 17m 39 s UTC on July 20, 1969. Armstrong and Aldrin landed at the Tranquility Base (0.67416° N and 23.47314° E) on the Moon and became the first humans to walk on the Moon on July 21, 2h 56m UTC. Now let us see the Moon's position astrologically and the site's zodiac sign.

I read the editorial Planets, Karnataka, and the Kantara Phenomenon in Modern Astrology, February issue. Seeing the position of the Ascendant and Moon on the date of the first assembly meeting of Karnataka quoted in this, my attention was drawn to draw you back to my formula to know the zodiac sign of a place, state, and country. About which an article of mine was published in this magazine in the September 2012 issue.

Karnataka’s first assembly meeting: June 18, 1952, at 11h. 00m at 12° 58`44” N and 77° 35`30” E (Bangaluru), and the zodiac sign is Leo (4s-18° 29`). Surprisingly, the ascendant is the same as the zodiac sign of the state, at the sign Leo, and the moon sign is Aries, which is a 9^th sign (Trine) from the zodiac sign of the state. The trine and the 7^th signs have a great impact on any zodiac sign and may reflect the same attitude.

Similarly, the position of the Moon on the date of independence of most countries. The trine and the 7th sign from the zodiac sign of the country mainly occur at that time.

This is also true in the formation of territories and states within India. But there are many states formed in bulk on the same date after independence, and some states split in two without a hard process or struggle. These dates are not accordingly. And some dates are disputed. For simple work (formation of the states), the Navamsa position of the Moon can also be effective, but for that, we will need a date along with a fixed time, which is not available anywhere. There are some formation dates where the moon position is according to the Navamsa sign of the capital of the state, but I am not quoting these cases here. As in the special cases of formation, the moon’s position mostly remains according to the zodiac sign of the capital of the state.

Almost all the territories became part of India after a long drown political battle, except Chandigarh and Delhi. All these dates are according to the rule. Please pay attention -

Indian Territories:

1-    Andaman and Nicobar: Port Blair 11° 40` 48” N and 92° 46` 12” E, the zodiacal sign is Pisces (11s-20° 23`). Declared a union territory on November 1, 1956. The moon sign on the said date at 00 hours is Virgo (5s-21° 07`), which is 7^th place from the zodiac sign of the region.

2-    Delhi: New Delhi 28° 36` 50” N and 77° 12` 32” E, the zodiac sign is Capricorn (9s-12° 38`). Declared a union territory on November 1, 1956. The moon sign on the said date at 00 hours is Virgo (5s-21° 07`), which is 9^th place from the zodiac sign of the region.

3-    Lakshadweep: Kavaratti 10° 34` 12” N and 72° 38` 24” E, the zodiac sign is Virgo (5s-11° 22`). Declared a union territory on November 1, 1956. The moon sign on the said date at 00 hours is Virgo (5s-21° 07`), the zodiac sign of the region.

4-    Daman and Diu: Daman 20° 25`12” N and 72° 51` 00” E, the zodiac sign is Sagittarius (8s-08° 08`). Annexed into the Republic of India on December 19, 1961. The moon sign on the said date at 00 hours is Aries (0s-23° 55`), which is the 5^th sign from the zodiac sign of place.

5-    Puducherry: Pondicherry 11° 55` 00” N and 79° 49` 00” E, the zodiac sign is Cancer (3s-18° 54`). On 16 August 1962, when French India ceased to exist, becoming the present Indian union territory of Pondicherry, combining four coastal enclaves (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Puducherry_(union_territory). The moon sign on the said date at 00 hours is Capricorn (9s-28° 27`), which is the 7^th place from the zodiac sign of the region.

6-    Dadar and Nagar Haveli: Silvassa 20° 16` 12” N and 73° 01` 12” E, the zodiac sign is Sagittarius (8s-05° 15`). On the morning of 2 August 1954, the liberators reached the town of Silvassa to find it free of any Portuguese occupation. The liberation of Dadra and Nagar Haveli was complete. 7-    Jammu and Kashmir: Sri Nagar 34° 05` 24” N and 74° 47` 24” E, the zodiac sign is Pisces (11s-23° 42`) and Jammu 32° 43`48” N and 74° 52` 12” E, the zodiac sign is Pisces (11s-10° 44`).

A-   Accession: On 27 October 1947, the then Governor-General of India, Lord Mountbatten accepted the accession. On the said date, the moon sign is Pisces for the full day, which is the zodiac sign of the region.

B-    Union territory: Effective on October 31, 2019, at 00 hours. The moon sign is Scorpio (7s-17° 49`), which is the 9^th place from the zodiac sign of the region.

8-    Ladakh: There are two capitals of the region one is Kargil 34° 33` 00” N and 76° 08` 00” E and the second is Leh 34° 09` 51” N and 77° 35` 05” E, the zodiac sign of Kargil is Pisces (11s-06° 45`) and the zodiac sign of Leh is Aquarius (10s-29° 13`). The date is the same as the Kashmir territory, October 31, 2019. On the said date, the moon sign is Scorpio for the full day, which is the 9^th sign from the zodiac sign of Kargil and the 10^th sign from the zodiac sign of Leh!

USA formation:

1-    The formation date for the U.S.A. is July 4, 1776, and the Moon sign was Aquarius. The principal cities of the U.S.A., New York, Washington, and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, are ruled by the Aquarius sign! According to my formula.

a-    New York (USA)          40° 43` N and 74° 00` W                    10s-12° 27`

b-    Washington               38° 52` N and 77° 02` W                        10s-23° 17`

c-   Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, 39° 57` N and 75° 09` W           10s-15° 54`!

 

Chennai:

“The first official use of the name Chennai is said to be in a sale deed, dated 8 August 1639, to Francis Day of the English East India Company.^[15]”

On this date, the moon sign was Scorpio with Jyestha star for the full day! The trine from the zodiac sign of Chennai!!

Chennai (13° 05` N and 80° 16` E) is ruled by the sign Cancer with Ashlesha star according to the formula.

*: - How to calculate the zodiacal sign of a Place/State/Country-

                                        = 1032.588- (360×2)

                                         = 312.588

                                      = 10s-12° 36` Say 10s-13° 20^th.

 Latitude= 13° 19.2` S or 13.32S and Longitude= 76° 30.6` W or 76.51W

                    = 208.71

                    =6s-28° 42` 36” Say 6s-30^th.

Latitude= 9.30S and Longitude= 107.40E

Zodiac sign= 9(-9.30-107.40)

But in this paper, I will discuss the annual chart only regarding trends of the upcoming election in the state.

The trends of the upcoming State Assembly elections in Maharashtra can be gauged through the Annual chart of the state on the basis of the Zodiacal sign of the state. The chart of the moment of the Sun transition over the zodiac sign of the capital is the annual chart of the state or country.

The zodiac sign of Mumbai (18⁰58′30′′N, 72⁰49′33′′E), the capital of the state, is Scorpio of the 30^th degree.

Sometimes it is the 10^th, but it is also logical, as the 10^th house is a house of the kingdom or ruler.

First, observe the annual chart of the capital. The chart of the moment of the Sun's transition over the zodiac sign of the capital is the annual chart of the state or country.

Secondly, observe the transit position of planets on the day of the election over the zodiac sign of the capital.

The state assembly election in Uttar Pradesh is about to be held in early 2017. Let us try to catch the probable trend of this election through the annual chart of the state calculated by the method.

Put the coordinates of the Capital of a state into the formula and find the zodiac sign of the place. Now extend this figure up to the last limit of stars within the same sign.

INDIA (New Delhi): Coordinates:  28N39 and 77E13  Zodiacal sign  9s 12°54´; Now extend it up to the last limit of star within the same sign as per rule for country purposes; we get 9s-23/20^th. (It means 9 signs elapsed and the 10th sign, Capricorn, is running, which is completed 23 degrees and 19.99 minutes.) This is the zodiac sign of the state of New Delhi, the Capricorn sign with the Shravana star.

How to calculate the zodiacal sign of a place-

Take the longitude and latitude of the place in question. Convert them into degrees. Out of them, use the North and East coordinate with the plus (+) mark and the South and West coordinate with the minus (-) mark.

Zodiac sign= 9(Latitude – Longitude)

Then make the resultant figure within 360 degrees, after deducting or adding, as many times as the value of 360. It must be within 360 degrees and with a plus mark, and then convert into a Zodiac sign, providing 30 degrees for each sign. The value we get should be increased by the nearest Navamsa-pada. This is the Zodiacal sign of place. But for the use of political purposes, we should extend it up to the last limit of stars, but within the same sign.
