Eclipses of July/August 2018

!! Eclipses of July/August 2018!!
An eclipse is a major event in the sky. Hence it is much more important scientifically as well astrologically. An eclipse puts some significant results on a nativity as well as on mundane affairs.

The eclipses fall in pairs, as solar and lunar eclipses. A lunar eclipse always occurs about 15 days before or after a solar eclipse. On some occasions, a lunar eclipse can be both preceded and followed by a solar eclipse. A solar eclipse occurs when the moon comes between the Sun and the earth, obstructing the light of the Sun. A lunar eclipse occurs when the earth falls in between the moon and the Sun, obstructing the light of the Sun from the moon.
It is necessary to fall at least two solar eclipses on earth in a year but not more than five. As bad impact as more occurrences of the eclipse in a particular year prevailed. A complete solar eclipse is a rare phenomenon and can take even hundreds of years or more to return to a particular place. Only two maximum lunar eclipses are possible in a year and the minimum number might be zero.
The ‘Saros’, a period of 6585.3211 days (14 common years + 4 leap years + 11.321 days) is useful for predicting the times at which nearly identical eclipses will occur. It can be used to predict the eclipses of the Sun and Moon. One ‘Saros’ period after an eclipse, the Sun, Earth, and Moon return to approximately the same relative geometry, a nearly straight line, and a nearly identical eclipse will occur, in what is referred to as an eclipse cycle. It was known to the Chaldeans.
The color of the solar eclipse is always black but the same is not true in the case of the lunar eclipse. It varied into different colors as smoky, blackish, reddish black, and copper color according to the magnitude/intensity of the eclipse.
Their effects exist more where they are visible and also for persons, regions, and countries ruled by signs, at which the eclipse falls. The event at 4th, 7th, 8th, and 12th sign from the natal sign also proves equally bad. The occurrence of falling at natal or evil Tara adds fuel to the fire. Eclipses can do well at benefic Tara falling in the Upachaya houses provided uninflected by other malefic like Saturn and Mars.
As a general rule, an eclipse surely puts some bad effect on the significance of a house where it falls from the natal sign provided at evil Tara.
The effect of a solar or lunar eclipse lasts for the next upcoming same eclipse solar or lunar. Some say it is a limit of six months.  Mr. J C Luthra a learned author suggested that the duration of the impact of a solar eclipse lasts for as many years as the duration of an eclipse in hours. And the influence of a lunar eclipse lasts for as many months as the lunar eclipse in hours. We can calculate the exact time period by providing a proportion to the year or month as per the nature of the eclipse with the time in hours/minutes.
The year 2018 has 5 eclipses, 3 solar eclipses, and 2 lunar eclipses. Out of the three eclipses are in the month of July and August.
1-    A partial solar eclipse: It will happen on July 13 at 01h 48m 23s UTC and astrologically this event will take place at Gemini sign and Punarvasu star. This will be visible from some parts of southern Australia. A majority of this partial eclipse of the Sun will take place over the Pacific and Indian Oceans. I am ignoring this eclipse as the visibility area is very low.
2-    Total lunar eclipse: This total lunar eclipse will fall on July 27 and the penumbral eclipse begins at 17 h 14 m 47 s as per UTC time. The maximum of the eclipse will be at 20h 21m 44s UTC. The local timing of the eclipse can be obtained by adding the time zone of the country to the UTC time.
It will be visible from most parts of the land, hence becoming an important and influential eclipse. This is also the longest one in the 21st century.
The regions seeing at least some part of the eclipse are most part of Asia, most part of Europe, Australia, Africa, the Pacific, the Atlantic, the Indian Ocean, and Antarctica.
Now let us discuss its astrological impact on various countries and natives.
Astrologically this celestial event will take place at the sign Capricorn and the involved star will be Uttarashada. Hence the persons and places ruled by the sign Capricorn will receive the maximum ill effect of the eclipse. The trine sign Taurus and Virgo, and the 7th sign Cancer are also sensitive. Sign Capricorn falls in either of 4-8-12th from Airy signs; so these signs are also sensitive to receive the bad effect. The places and the people are predominantly sensitive to receive ill effects of the eclipse to which the ecliptic star Uttrashada falls in the odd Tara from their natal star.
Now let us examine its effect on various countries. People also can imagine the effect according to their natal Moon or Navamsa sign of the natal Moon.
A-    Since the event is about to take place at sign Capricorn and the involved star is Uttrashada. So the countries which are ruled by this zodiac range will get the maximum ill effect of the eclipse.
The countries ruled by the star Krittika (Taurus) and Uttaraphalguni (Virgo) which is the trine star from the eclipse are also sensitive to receiving ill effects. Some important countries ruled by such zodiac range are China, Yangon, Spain, and Fiji (Taurus, Krittika), Liberia and Singapore (Virgo, Uttaraphalguni), and South Korea (Capricorn, Uttrashada), etc.
B-    The eclipse at sign Capricorn is able to transfer all of its malefic influence to the 7th sign Cancer. And it might be worst for the countries ruled by star Pushyami as eclipse star Uttrashada falls in a malefic Tara from it. The countries ruled by this zodiac area are England, Yemen and Maldives, and Niger, etc. These countries will suffer in various ways. It can harm the relation with other countries. It may cause a rift within the alliances while some kind of loss is feared for opposition parties.
C-    The ill event of the eclipse will fall either in the 4-8-12th house from the countries ruled by Airy signs. And the maximum ill result will be possible for the countries ruled by the star of Rahu. Such some important countries are Malaysia, Kuwait, Mongolia ((Libra, Swati), Finland, Vietnam and Zimbabwe (Aquarius, Satabhisha), Kyrgyzstan, Portugal, Rwanda, and Djibouti (Gemini, Aridra) etc.
D-   Now let us see the effect of the Eclipse on some major and important countries separately.
South Korea will experience the worst result as the eclipse is exactly at the natal sign involving the natal star. The first house stands for the nation as a whole, the people, and the general conditions of the country. So the people will face many difficulties, and the general condition of the country will be not good. It may experience some biter results from foreign relations and colleagues. The mind of people and government may turn to extremes. A war-like strong threat from enemies cannot be ruled out. This is the event of the 9th house at natal Tara for China and Myanmar (Taurus, Krittika) and will cause some kind of upheaval on religious grounds. Some kind of great loss in the sector of judiciary and religion is also feared.
The 10th house event at evil Tara for Pakistan (Aries, Aswini) will make many obstacles in the way of the newly elected government in the country. General elections are scheduled in the month of September for Sweden (Aries, Ashwini) and this 10th house eclipse at evil Tara will prove shocking for the ruling party of the country.
India (Capricorn, Sravana) will also suffer on account of the eclipse at the natal sign but the involved star is from the 9th group of Tara. The 9th group of Taras is termed as the most friendly but in practice, it offers the result like a rigorous teacher who teaches with strict discipline. So it is not easy going good but indicating difficult time to pass. India is a big country having many states. And some states are ruled by the Cancer sign (Manipur, Nagaland, and Tripura) where coalition governments are working by the effect of the 7th house eclipse their alliance is at stake. This is the 6th house event at evil Tara for the states Arunachal, Assam, Meghalaya, West Bengal and Orissa (Leo, Makha) can cause some terror incidents. It is the first house event at natal star for Rajasthan (Capricorn, Uttrashada) very bad for the state in various aspects. It will grasp the natal 5th house, trine to the natal sign of Chhattisgarh (Virgo, Chitta) but only at benefic Tara. It can cause a difficult victory in the upcoming assembly election in the state for the ruling party. It will cover the natal 4th house at malefic Tara of Goa (Libra, Swati). Hence living conditions of the people will be affected by various ways such as worst weather conditions, landslides, mining disasters, and floods. Public, school, and college buildings might be collapsed. The 7th house event at malefic Tara will affect the Kerala state (Cancer, Pushyami) in various ways.
3-    A partial solar eclipse will fall on August 11, 2018, at 08h 02m 08 s UTC. It will be visible from a few places of the earth only, such as some parts of Canada, and China, and will cover almost the whole of Mongolia, Russia, Norway, Finland, Sweden, and Korea.
Astrologically this event takes place at the sign Cancer and the involved star will be Aslesha. Hence it will affect moderately Canada (Aries, Aswini) as a 4th house event but only at the 9th group of Taras. It will harm the significance of the 3rd house such as means of transportation and communications, neighboring countries, etc for China as the 3rd house event at malefic Tara. It will put negative attitudes to word the financial conditions for Norway (Gemini, Punarvasu) as a 2nd house event at malefic Tara. The 7th house event at malefic Tara is much harmful to both the Korean countries (North Korea is Capricorn of Dhanishta star and South Korea is Capricorn, Uttarashada star). It can revive mutual tension.

*: - How to calculate the zodiacal sign of a Place/State/Country-
Take the longitude and latitude of the place in question. Convert them into degrees. Out of them, use the North and East coordinate with the plus (+) mark and the South and West coordinate with a minus (-) mark.
Zodiac sign= 9 (Latitude – Longitude)
Then make the resultant figure within 360 degrees, after deducting or adding, as many times the value of 360 as possible. It must be within 360 degrees and with a plus mark and then convert into a Zodiac sign, providing 30 degrees for each sign. The value we get should be increased by the nearest Navamsa-pada. This is the Zodiacal sign of place. But for the use of political purposes, we should extend it up to the last limit of stars but within the same sign.
