The formula for calculating the Zodiacal
sign of a place is a wonderful invention in the field of predictive astrology.
It has many uses and one of them is to know probable trends of elections.
The annual chart of a country or state
provides a significant hint about upcoming elections in a particular year. The
chart of the moment of the Sun's transition over the zodiac sign of capital is the
annual chart of the state or country. The transit of planets and ascendants on
the day of the election at the starting time of the voting process also tells much
about the trends of the election. But in this paper, I will discuss the annual chart
only regarding trends of upcoming elections in the Chhattisgarh state.
First of all, calculate the zodiac sign of the state according to the formula. The coordinates of Raipur the
capital of the Chhattisgarh state are 21.25 N (21°15′ N) and 81.63 E (81°37´48´´E).
The
formula: 9(Latitude –Longitude)
=
9 (21.25 – 81.63)
= 9(-60.38)
= (-543.42);
Now make this figure within the range of zodiac and with plus sign.
=
(-543.42) + (360×2)
=
(-525.15) +720
= 176.58;
now convert this figure into signs and degrees.
=
5 s 26° 35´; now extend this figure up to the
last limit of the star but within the same sign.
= 5 s 30th
degree; this is the zodiac sign of Chhattisgarh, the Virgo
sign of 30th degrees.
Now cast the
annual chart for the relevant year. The tenure of the assembly is up to about
January 1, 2019, and the expected dates of the election would be of November, and December 2018. The Sun transits over the natal sign of this state on about October
17 every year. Let us see the chart of the exact moment of the Sun's transit over the natal
sign of the state.

Now consider the 10th house
for the ruling party and the 4th house for the opposite party. Basically, no
house represents the opposite party in a chart but the 10th house
rules for the ruler and so for the ruling party. The 7th house is an
opposite house to any particular house and can represent opposing traits of
that house with some of its own features. Hence this is only a working assumption that the 4th house rules the opposite party. Hence primarily
decide the supportive/positive strength of the 10th house.
Supportive or positive means the strength of the 10th house and its
lord with the connection of supportive houses for the 10th house.
The position of Mars at its own sign Scorpio in the 5th house for
Cancer ascendant is much more harmful to the 10th house though it is
strong but not positive or supportive to the 10th house.
The negative houses for the 10th
house are the 5th, 8th, and 12th from the
ascendant. The 3rd, 7th and 11th houses from
ascendant are also not much promising for the 10th house. Hence the position
of the 10th lord in these houses and these house lords in the 10th
house indicates ill effect to the traits of the 10th house. The 5th
and 8th houses are most malefic in this context and any relation with
the 10th house/lords is a sure sign of losing the ruling party. The strong mutual connection between the 7th
house and the 10th house is also a major diminishing factor for the ruling party while the mutual connection of the 1st and the 10th
house favors the ruling government. The position of the annual 10th lord
in the 7th is not good even in the navamsa chart unless it has a sign
exchange with other houses other than the 10th house. The best
houses to take the position for the 10th lord, in support of the ruling
party are the 1st, 9th and the 10th house in the
Rasi, Navamsa and Trisamsa (Vedic) chart. The second house position of it, is
also a satisfactory factor in support of the ruling party.
The Vargottama position of the 10th
lord is always a positive factor for the ruling party.
Now let us examine the chart:
A- The exalted ascendant lord Mars is in the 10th
house while the 4th house is occupied by Rahu. This is slightly a
favorable factor for the ruling party. The 10th lord Saturn is in the 9th
house in the Rasi and Navamsa chart and in the Vedic Trisamsa (D-30) chart it
is posited in the 1st house at its own sign Capricorn! This is a very
favorable factor for the ruling party. The 4th lord Moon is well posited
in the 10th house in the Rasi chart. In the Navamsa chart, it is posited
in the 6th house within the aspect of the sign depositor exalted
Jupiter. Hence it is full of strength but not at a supportive house.
Unfortunately for the opposition, it is not a positive strength. In the D-30 chart, the position of the 10th lord in the 6th house with Venus and
Rahu is only a satisfactory status and not surpassing the position of the 10th
lord Saturn. The position of the 10th lord Saturn is good but it has
no additional strength in Rasi and Navamsa. This is a drawback point for the ruling
party BJP.
B- There are some helping clues that help us in
deciding the matter. Though these points always indicate the gain or loss of some
seats according to their supportive or unsupportive positions.
1- The falling of the natal sign at the unsupportive
houses in the annual chart is a negative factor in the Rasi and Navamsa chart.
In this case, the natal sign of the state is Virgo. The 6th house position of it
in the Rasi chart is not good enough and the 12th position in
Navamsa is absolutely against the ruling party. This means that the ruling
party may have to face an unwanted situation and the loss of some seats feared.
2- The Fortuna* supports the ruling party if falls in
the 2-6-10th house and support for the opposite party are indicated if
falls in the 4-8-12th house from the annual ascendant. The 4th
and 10th position is not decisive both the houses always remain in
mutual aspect. Similarly, its position in the 1-5-9th houses supports the ruling party while the position in 3-7-11th houses supports to
the opposite party. Here too the 1st and 7th house
position is not decisive though it offers slightly more favorable results for the house where it is posited. (* the
formula for Fortuna is: = Moon – Sun + ascendant; without any exceptions for
day or night.)
In this
case, the value of Fortuna is 3 s 29⁰ 26′
The Pars
Fortuna at sign Cancer falls in the 4th house in Rasi chart and in
the 10th house in the Navamsa chart indicating a neutral result.
3- The position of the Gulika at the
4-8-12th signs from the natal zodiacal sign of the state especially in
the Navamsa proves harmful to the ruling party. In this case, the Gulika is at
sign Leo in both Vargas which is the 12th sign from the natal sign.
That is a diminishing factor for the ruling party. It May lose some important seats.
Conclusion: After examining various points
of the annual chart for the state, the ruling party is not at full strength. But the opposite party is also not in positive power. So, I expect some unwanted
political situation in the state with a very low margin mandate in which the ruling
