Most astrologers examine the annual solar return chart for the purpose of knowing the future result in a particular year of a native.

The annual horoscope is a transit position of planets and ascendant at a significant moment of a native as the Sun transit over the natal sun. But we know in Vedic astrology more importance has been given to the moon than the sun, then why should we not examine the horoscope of the moment when the sun transit over the natal moon! The significant factor for the year is the Sun and the basis of transit is the Moon.

The zodiac sign of Capital works for such purposes. For the use of political purposes calculate the zodiac sign for capital using a formula and extend it up to the last limit of the star but within the same zodiac sign.

To know the possible trend of any country or state in a particular year examine Sun's ingress over this point.

India`s zodiac sign is Capricorn of 23 degrees and 20 minutes according to the formula.

The Sun transits, over this point about 6 or 7^th February of every year. Let us see the possible trends of India in 2016 using this new noble method.

Let us see some important points of the chart.

The ascendant is Libra and the Moon is at sign Sagittarius in both Vargas, both the sign is odd and not much supportive of Indian affairs.

The first house stands for the nation as a whole and the general conditions of the country. It also rules over public health. The Mars posited in it being a Markesh occupying Venusians sign in both Vargas. The Navamsa of the ascendant also belongs to the 6^th house of the Rasi chart. Hence it could suggest an increase in health issues, especially of Venusian character (venereal, kidney, and urinal diseases). The 7^th house also stands for journey and connecting its lord to the ascendant in a movable sign indicates an increase in the rate of the journey to foreign lands, as the 7^th lord Mars occupied its Navamsa sign from 8^th house of Rasi chart. The purpose of the journey may be related to the significance of Venus as film, luxury, marriage, etc. We could also observe these findings in some famous personalities of the nation.

The 2^nd house is occupied by Saturn in the enemy camp. The 11^th house has Rahu and Retrograde Jupiter in it. The Rahu and Saturn both are signifying black money, which might fill the treasure of the government. Both the planets of malefic nature influencing the income house of the nation indicate some misfortune in the Indian economic system. But Jupiter's position in the 11^th is hope full in this regard.

The 10^th lord Moon signifying the ruler of the country is in the 3^rd house in a Vargottami state within the aspect of its sign depositor Jupiter. Hence it is strong enough. The position of 10^th lord in the 3^rd house shows only Raj Yoga of medium nature but within the strength and with ascendant lord Venus and 9^th lord Mercury, it suggests something more than expected. His foreign journeys may continue as Venus is also the 8^th lord and mercury is 12^th lord. The influence of some female personalities is clear on the king as with Venus and Moon. He could seek the way of orthodox religious personalities as the 10^th lord Moon is with Mercury the 9^th lord and within the aspect of Jupiter. The ventures of the government would be more successful than the previous year.

The 3^rd house also indicates the neighboring boundaries. He will focus much on this matter and the role of his female fellows would be prominent. The 3^rd (neighbor) and 6^th house (enemy) both are ruled by Jupiter and are in retro motion with Rahu within the aspect Saturn. So they would be suffering much in this year. The 3^rd cum 6^th lord Jupiter is aspecting 10^th lord Moon and in the Navamsa, it conjoined the Moon. Hence Indian boundaries would be threatened by neighboring countries and perhaps a war-like situation may arise. Something decisive would happen on the matter of boundaries and terror. The disputes from China more predominantly appear than that of Pakistan.

The 3^rd house also relates to media with the help of Mercury and printing with the help of Venus. This factor is almost good in this chart. But Literature, writers come under the domain of Jupiter, the 5^th and 3^rd house. The 5^th house has malefic Ketu in it and the 5^th lord Saturn is in the enemy camp. Jupiter is with the crooked planet Rahu causing Guru Chandala Yoga. This clearly indicates the crooked and hypocritical state of mind and actions of some writers. They would try to go against the government but will quit the way of opposing as the 10^th lord Moon is surpassing the strength of Jupiter being with it, in its own sign in Navamsa.

The sign Pisces falls in the 6^th house and the Kashmir region is ruled by this sign. The 6^th house also denotes terrorism. Hence increase in such activities in this area is supported by neighboring countries (Jupiter the 6^th lord is also the 3^rd lord and posited in the Sagittarius sign in Navamsa which falls in the 3^rd house of Rasi chart.) indicated.

The 4^th house is occupied by Sun and within the aspect of Saturn and Mars. Hence three malefic influences at this house indicate some kind of calamities within the country. Let us fix some probable areas for it-

 Direction:

a-     The sign occupied by the 64^th Navamsa lord in the Navamsa chart.

            Here the 64 Navamsa lord is Mercury posited at sign Sagittarius in Navamsa. Sign Sagittarius rules over the East direction.

b-    The direction of signs occupied by the 8^th lord in both Vargas.

Here the 8^th lord is Venus posited at sign Sagittarius in Rasi and at sign Libra in Navamsa. Sign Sagittarius rules East and Libra rules over West direction.

Hence we can safely conclude afflicted directions are East and West.

Places: We can also ascertain possible zodiacal signs of places sensitive to receiving bad events for the year in question.

a-     The places ruled by the sign of 8^th house and also ruled by the sign of the 64^th Navamsa sign.

Here Taurus and Gemini signs are in the picture. Consider all trine and 7^th signs from them.

Which are Taurus, Virgo, Capricorn, Scorpio and Gemini, Libra, Aquarius, and Sagittarius?

b-    The places ruled by signs occupied by 8^th lord in both Vargas.

Here we have to consider the trine and 7^th sign from the afflicted sign by 8^th lord and also the sign within the aspect of it.

Here the 8^th lord Venus is at sign Sagittarius in Rasi and at sign Libra in the Navamsa. So we have to consider all the places ruled by odd signs in the East-West axis. But this will be too much. Hence go further-

c-     Find the Navamsa longitude of 8^th lord by multiplying 9 by Rasi longitude and make the figure within the range of the zodiac.

 Now mark the star occupied by 8^th lord at its Navamsa position. All the places in desired signs and directions that are in evil Tara from Navamsa star of 8^th lord would be sensitive much.

Here Navamsa longitude of Venus is 6-23/05, which gives a star ruled by Jupiter the Vishakha.

Hence the star ruled by Jupiter, Mercury, Venus, Moon, and Rahu are much more sensitive to receiving affliction.

d-    Conclusion:

Here we have to take all odd signs and earthy signs and a watery sign Scorpio which contains above the sensitive star.

The fiery sign contains the star of Venus; The Airy sign contains the star of Rahu and Jupiter; The earthy sign contains the star of the Moon and the watery sign Scorpio which contains the star of Mercury much sensitive to receiving calamities within the whole country. But we have to consider the pre-decided direction which is the east-west axis though we cannot rule out events of low intensity in other directions too. Local astrologers can check areas near them.

I think the possible afflicted areas for major incidents can be minimized by taking common signs with the Navamsa ascendant as odd or even. Here Navamsa ascendant is Pisces an even sign; hence even signs are more sensible than pre-decided sensible signs. They are all earthy sign ruled by star of Moon and the sign Scorpio ruled by the star of Mercury.

e-     A star contains a big area to rule but we can fix our points limited to a certain quarter of a star. Work in the following manner-

1-    Find out places of sensitive zodiac signs with the sensitive star. Now take Navamsa of a certain sensitive place. Then mark the 2^nd sign from it. As we have to know the result of Leo sign with 3^nd quarter of Purvaphalguni star that is ranged from 4-20/00 to 4-23/20. The Navamsa of it is Libra. The 2^nd sign from it is Scorpio.

2-    Now see the transit of Saturn over it, if Saturn is transiting trine sign from it or aspecting it during transit, it is a sensitive zone.

In our example, the 2^nd sign Scorpio is transited by Saturn in this year. Hence this is a sensitive zone.

3-    Maharashtra, Uttar Pradesh, and Madhya Pradesh states are ruled by the sign Scorpio of Jyestha star and Jharkhand, New Delhi, Uttaranchal (some parts may be in our desired direction), and Sikkim are ruled by the star of Moon in earthy signs. The earthy signs are more sensitive; hence Delhi itself, some parts of Haryana and Rajasthan, Ranchi, Simdega, Latehar from Jharkhand, Haridwar, Rudraprayag and Dehradun from Uttaranchal and Gyalshing, Mangan from Sikkim are prone to ill events. 

Time:

Dasa: The Mudda Dasa works effectively for the timing of an event.

1-    The periods of planets that are getting a position in the 3^rd, 7^th, 1^st, and even in the 11^th house can cause calamities. The period of the planet owning an ill house and also posited in the Marak house proves fatal.

2-    The periods of afflicted and weak planets posited in the 6^th, 10^th, 2^nd, and 12^th house or the 6^th lord can cause ill events of terrorism or threat to the sovereignty of the country.  Similarly, the Dasa of planets posited in the 2^nd, 6^th, 10^th, and in 4^th house can cause illness to the king of the state or country.

There are many planets in the 3^rd, 7^th, 11^th, and 1^st houses. But I think Venus, Mars, and Jupiter are more afflicted or weak. Hence their period is sensitive to fructify ill events at given places. The period of Jupiter, Rahu, and Saturn are sensitive to terror events or disputes with other countries.

Transit:

Other afflictions at the natal sign such as malefic aspect and position at the natal sign, 4-8-12^th transit of malefic, affliction to the sign lord, afflicted natal 8^th lord, and connection of natal 8^th lord to the natal sign or sign lord, can finalize ill event at a certain place.
