Tara Chakra

Tara Chakra
The word means Tara. It is a very important predictive tool in astrology. We can ascertain the mood of Nakshatras as positive or negative for a particular native with the help of it. It is an effective tool to determine the transit result. This factor is widely used in Muhurta matters.
In this scheme, 27 stars are distributed in nine groups of ‘Taras’ having three stars each. So, there are nine Taras having three stars in each namely Janma, Sampat, Vipat, Kshema, Pratyari, Sadhak, Vadh or Nidhan, Mitra, and Ati-Mitra. All three stars in a particular Tara are ruled by the same planet.
It is more relevant in the dark half according to some as said by sage Narad “कृष्ण पक्षे बली तारा, शुक्ल पक्षे बली शशि”.

1-
Janma Tara: The star in which we were born is known as ‘Janma Nakshtra*or natal star’ and all the trine stars (10th and 19th) including it is known as Janma Tara. It is a sensitive Tara. Natural benefic planets offer good results and malefic planets offer bad results at this Tara. In the Muhurta matters, some matters are allowed in this Tara and some other are prohibited.
2-
Sampat Tara: It consists of the 2nd, 11th, and 20th stars from the natal star. The word Sampat signifies wealth and prosperity. It is a benefic Tara and planets generally offer good results in it.
3-
Vipat Tara: It contains the 3rd, 12th, and 21st stars from the natal star. The word Vipat signifies calamity and difficulties. So, it is a bad Tara and all the planets offer bad results only from it.
4-
Kshema: Kshema means comfortable and overall prosperity. So, it is a good Tara. It includes the 4th, 13th, and 22nd stars from the natal star. All the planets offer good results at it.
5-
Pratyari: Pratyari Tara signifies the enemy. It is a bad group of Stars, which contain the 5th, 14th, and 23rd stars from their own`s natal star. All the planets offer only bad results from here.
6-
Sadhak: Sadhak means efficiency and skill. It is a good Tara. It has the 6th, 15th, and 24th stars from the natal star. Planets offer good results at it.
7-
Vadh or Nidhan: The word ‘Vadh’ means murder and the ‘Nidhan’ signify death. It has the 7th, 16th, and 25th stars from the natal star. It is a bad Tara and planets offer only bad results from here.
8-
Mitra: ‘Mitra’ means friend. It is a good Tara that contains the 8th, 17th, and 26th stars from its owner`s natal star. All the planets offer good results from here.
Ati-Mitra: The word ‘Ati-Mitra’ signifies to bosom or intimate friend. It is a good Tara and has the 9th, 18th, and 27th star from own`s natal star. Planets offer good results at it.
  • What is the Janma Nakshatra: The star occupied by the Moon at the time of birth is known as ‘Janma Nakshatra or natal star’ generally. But a great ancient authority of ‘Vedic astrology’ Sage Satyacharya clearly suggested comparing the strength of the Ascendant and Moon to finalize the birth star of a native.
  • In some Horoscopes the Ascendant star becomes prominent, in some other Horoscopes the Moon constellation is effective due to some kind of certain planetary position or some other astrological factors. I am failed to catch such responsible astrological conditions till now. The suggestion of Sage Satyacharya to calculate relative strength is a much tough and more confusing factor.
  • Most astrologers consider Moon stars as birth stars of the native without ifs and buts.
