The Uranus newly discovered planet has a significant role in mundane astrology. Some traditional astrologers deny its effect totally on the nativity as well as on mundane affairs. But I experienced its major role in deciding mundane events and I have no opinion regarding its effect on nativity till now.

It is discovered in 1781 by ‘Herschel’ and after him, it was named ‘Herschel’. Most of us think that it was unknown to all till 1781 even the great seers of the Vedic era were unaware of this.

According to a Marathi author Dr. P.V.Vartik - its existence was known to Maharishi Veda Vyas the author of the ‘Maha Bharat’. His view is clearly mentioned in related verse with its application in his work namely ‘scientific dating of the Maha Bharat’.

Almost all western astrologers consider its effect on nativity as well as on mundane affairs. Some Indian astrologers also accept its influence on nativity and as well as for mundane affairs.

Uranus is about 1782 million miles away from the Sun. It takes about 84 years to go around the Sun once and takes a seat on a sign about for a period of 7 years. It made the entry in to sign Aries on June 26, 2016, but it got back by retrograde motion to sign Pisces after some time and again will appear at sign Aries about April 8, 2017.

The main significance of Uranus is unforeseen happenings like sudden political agitation, dethroning, sudden natural calamities, etc. It also stands for change, new ideas, new discoveries etc. Uranus has much impact on political affairs. It has the significance of revolution, political agitation, sudden disruptive change and war for liberty. Let us study its effect on various houses.

This is a slow-moving cruel planet mostly like Saturn. Its malefic result appears clearly when it receives the aspect or union of another malefic planet. The trine and the 4-7-8-12^th cruel transit prove to be bad as a general rule given in the Prashna Marg.

So the transit of Uranus over such places from the zodiac sign of countries provides time to pass hardly. Even the Navamsa sign of transit Uranus over such houses is not good. The influence of other malefic adds fuel to the fire.

India faced two wars in 1962 and 1965 during the 8^th transit of Uranus at sign Leo and the war of 1971 and the Kargil conflict in 1999 were the results of the trine transit of Uranus. The Pearl Harbors and the biggest terror attack on the USA on September 11, 2001, were the result of the 4^th and 12^th transit of Uranus with Saturn. Many such cruel events have registered their entry into the pages of history.

According to Dr. Vartik Uranus was transiting over the star Shravana the natal star of India (Indraprastha, now Delhi) at the time of Mahabharat. His words are “So Uranus was in Shravan during Mahabharat War as stated by Vyas under the name of "Shveta".

1-    It turns the mind of rulers to be aggressive and adamant to other countries whenever it transits through the 1^st, 7^th, or 3^rd house of the country.

The Uranus was transiting sign Aquarius when Iraq was attacked by the USA in 2003. It was first to the USA (Aquarius) and third to Iraq (Sagittarius). Kuwait (Libra) was invaded by Iraq in 1990 at the time of the Sagittarius transit which is the 3^rd transit for Kuwait and the first to Iraq.

2-    We can also read the tendencies of splitting a country or state with the help of Uranus and the zodiac sign of capital, and if there is any threat then we can predict it with the help of some other astrological factors.

The transit of Uranus over the third, sixth, ninth, and twelfth signs from the natal sign of a country creates such circumstances strongly.

The condition was fulfilled at the time of dividing many countries such as India, Pakistan, Germany, Sudan, Italy, Vietnam, Yugoslavia, United Arab States, Ossetia, the Netherlands-Antilles, and Korea etc.

Even the Navamsa sign occupied by transit Uranus equal to these signs/houses from the natal sign of a state or country is able to provide splitting a country or state for the most awaited cases which are fixed to do so by authorities as it was in the case of Telangana.

3-      The planet Uranus has the significance of revolution, political agitation, sudden and disruptive change, and war for liberty. It is a planet of liberty. The 1^st and 5^th house stand for humane minds and minds of people in the countries` horoscope. Whenever Uranus transits these houses from the sign of the country results in changes in the mentality of people towards liberty. Transit from the 7^th and 11^th houses also can create such results as it aspect the 1^st and 5^th respectively from these houses. Transit from other houses also can create a such result if the associated planet aspect the 1^st house since its effect will reach to the 1^st house with the help of the associated planet.

So all the trine signs and the 7^th, and 11^th signs from the natal sign of a country are much sensitive for the transition of Uranus for the revolution in the country.  

The revolution of 1857 in India, the Russian revolution of 1917, and China`s revolution of 1932/33 were the result of the 1^st, 5^th, and 11^th transit of Uranus respectively. Recently the revolutions of Egypt, Syria, and Libya are motivated by the 1^st and 7^th transit of Uranus.

4-    If it is a matter of war, games, or competition the 4^th transit of malefic support wins while the 10^th transit of malefic leads to loss. So the presence of Uranus with other malefic in the 2-6-10^th houses is a sure sign to lose. Japan (Leo) surrendered in the 2^nd world war as Uranus was transiting its 10^th house at Taurus while the USA (Aquarius) emerges as it was the 4^th transit to it.

The 7^th house signifies the opponent and a healthy malefic presence in this trine (3-7-11^th) house provides ‘war strength’ to the opponent.

Kuwait (Libra) was annexed by Iraq in August 1990 when Uranus and Saturn both were transiting its 3^rd house Sagittarius.

Iraq (Sagittarius) was destroyed by the USA in the March 2003, during the 3^rd transit of Uranus with the 6^th transit of Saturn and Rahu.

The 6^th transit of Uranus at Virgo, the 10^th Rahu at Capricorn, and the 2^nd Saturn at Taurus led to heavy losses for Pakistan (Aries) during the Indo-Pak war of December 1971.

Hence it is wise, not to entangle in a war during the malefic transit from the 2-6-10-3-7^th sign from the natal sign of the country while benefic transit over 2-6-10^th signs is recommended. The trine and the 4-8-12^th malefic transit only support matter related to war, games, etc but proves bad otherwise.

Now let us study the effect of Aries transit on some countries.

The Uranus transit at sign Aries will be trine to all the countries ruled by fiery signs and will be 4-8-12^th to the countries of earthy signs.

The countries of ruled by fiery signs are Baluchistan, Pakistan, Italy, Japan, Iraq, Philippines, Canada, Australia, Myanmar, Cyprus, etc. The dominating and fighting attitude is an inherent factor of the fiery signs. This trine transit of Uranus will stimulate this natal nature. It will be clearly visible in his foreign as well as in his home affairs.

The countries India, Russia, China, Afghanistan, Tibet, Brazil, France, North and South Korea, Thailand, Spain, etc. are ruled by earthy signs. So this Aries transit of Uranus will not be supportive for these countries. The intensity of results may differ from country to country by the influence of the involved star (Tara) during its transit of it.

The countries ruled by the Airy signs will experience its result either of the 3^rd, 7^th, or 11^th transit. Turkey, Sri Lanka, the USA, Nepal, Israel, Norway, Kuwait, North Sudan, Vietnam, etc are ruled by airy signs. It makes a country adamant and somewhat aggressive like the 1^st transit of it. It is advised not to entangle with the mighty countries, especially during the ill transit (4-8-12^th) of the Jupiter over Taurus, Virgo, and Capricorn sign.

The countries ruled by watery signs are England, Germany, Lebanon, Iran, South Sudan, Syria, Serbia, Yugoslavia etc. So Uranus will be in transit to either of the 2^nd-6^th or 10^th houses of the country. This malefic transit will increase in terrorism and defeat in war provided ill transit of Jupiter and may have lessened the power of sovereignty of the country.

India: India, New Delhi (28N37, 77E13> 9-23/20^th) is ruled by the sign Capricorn with a Sravana star. Hence the Aries transit of Uranus is falling in the 4^th house from the natal sign Capricorn. This is not good in general. The public may suffer from natural calamities and war threats. The educational institutes have to suffer also.

The sign lord Saturn is moving through the 12^th sign of the country at the sign Sagittarius now and after it, this will be on the natal sign. It may threaten the country to great trouble whenever sign lord Saturn will get influenced by other malefic during transit.

But this may prove a good condition to fight the war against enemies with the help of the benefic transit of Jupiter through the natal 2-6-10^th and even 11^th houses. But great care is needed to select benefic Tara of the major transited planet to entangle with other countries ruled by the earthy sign as China due to the 4-8-12^th transit of malefic is also helpful to them in this regard.

Pakistan: Pakistan, Islamabad (33N43, 73E04> 0-13/20^th) is ruled by the sign Aries of Aswini star. This is the eternal enemy country of India. The idea and theme of its origin to be separate from Hindustan was on the basis of religion and the ambition to establish the ‘rule of Islam’. This is the root cause of enmity as India has its identity based upon Hinduism mainly. So the cells of enmity with India are in the blood of Pakistan. The future of politicians of Pakistan only depends upon the worship of its origin theme. The relationship between both countries will never be normal. The untold war on the boundaries is always going on from the declaration date of its formation.

The sign of both the countries (Capricorn and Aries) are subjected to the hostile square aspect. The rulers of both signs Saturn and Mars are naturally hostile to each other. But India can never be ruthless on it as the ruling star of India is in the benefic Tara from the natal star of Pakistan. On the other hand, Pakistan is always against India as the natal star of Pakistan falls in the evil Tara from the natal star of India. The natal sign of India Capricorn is the seat of exaltation for Mars the sign lord of Pakistan while Saturn sign lord of India gets debility on Aries which is the natal sign of Pakistan. So Pakistan will always shine through its relationship with India whether hostile or friendly and India will lose its status always by developing relations with Pakistan. So it is wise not to develop any terms with Pakistan.

 As a man needs self-identity to lead a self-respectful life so the nations also require a self-identity. It may be in the form of culture, history, language, etc. The nation is not only a mere part of the land. Pakistan did not accept the culture, language, and history of the land where it has formed. So this is the great crisis of identity before Pakistan. It is a self-deceptive idea of Pakistan to accept the culture and language of Arab countries. Its leader wants to turn blind to all these deficiencies. So always want to remain in disputes with India to cheat the general public of Pakistan. One day it is destined to destroy or shatter in many parts.

Whenever the malefic like Uranus and Saturn would transit the earthy sign (trine houses of the natal 10^th house) and the benefic Jupiter through a watery sign (trine houses from the natal 8^th house) that will be the best time to launch an attack against Pakistan. But this is not expected from India! It cannot be ruthless against Pakistan. The worst enemy comes from the opposite direction of the natal sign of a country. The sign Aries rules the east direction and the opposite of it is the west. Afghanistan and Iran are situated in the west of Pakistan. Afghan is ruled by the sign Taurus and Iran are ruled by the sign Scorpio. The sign Scorpio falls in the 8^th house from the natal sign of Pakistan. Hence it could be Iran who might teach a lesson to Pakistan. Other western countries of Airy and Watery nature also can save humanity by destroying the motherland of terror.

The Aries' transit of Uranus will make it aggressive and will try to stimulate India for war. The general condition of Pakistan will turn to hell. Epidemics, natural disasters, and terrorism will prevail in the country. Military interference will be a common phenomenon. The great agitation of the public was feared as Rahu will reach sign Cancer after august 2017. Its cruelty will rise to the sky in the region of Baluchistan and PoK.

Baluchistan:  The Baluchistan, Quetta (30.12N, 67.01E > 0-30^th/00) is also ruled by the sign Aries but with a Krittika star. So the Uranus transit at the natal sign will stimulate the public for liberty. It will make a serious attempt to get rid of the clutches of the ‘Na_Pak’ (unholy) hands.

Tibet: The Tibet, Lhasa, Shigatse (29N39, 91E07 > 5-23/20^th) is ruled by the sign Virgo of Hasta star. This 8^th transit of Uranus is much bad for this country and now the 4^th house transit of Saturn at sign Sagittarius is only adding fuel to the fire. The China will not leave even a single chance to dominate the country. All the humane organizations will turn to blind spectators.

USA: The USA, Washington DC (38N54, 77W02 > 10-30^th/00) is ruled by the sign Aquarius of Poorvabhadra star. So the Uranus at Aries will transit over the natal 3^rd house. It will provide an aggressive attitude in the mind of authorities resulting attack on the nation opposing it. The neighboring countries may suffer on account of their behavior.

Syria: Syria, Damascus (33N30, 36E18 > 11-16/40^th) is ruled by the sign Pisces of Uttarabhadra star. The 2^nd house transit of Uranus is trine to the 10^th house and has an impact on it. Saturn is already transiting the sign Sagittarius over the natal 10^th house. Hence a state of anarchy may arise in the country. The country might come under great danger as the sign lord Jupiter will move in to sign Libra in Sept 2017. Some of the forces of the country disobey the orders and might join the hand with rebellions.  

ISIS will be at a dwindling stage and will try to find a new place to execute the devil`s rule.

Yemen: Yemen, Sana`a (15N21, 44E12), and the United Kingdom, London (51N30, 00W05) are also ruled by a watery sign Cancer. So the loss of sovereignty is feared. Terror events may increase in an unexpected manner.

(How to calculate the zodiacal sign of place-

Take the longitude and latitude of the place in question. Convert them into degrees. Out of them, use the North and East coordinate with the plus (+) mark and the South and West coordinate with the minus (-) mark.

Zodiac sign= 9(Latitude – Longitude)

Then make the resultant figure within 360 degrees, after deducting or adding, as many times the value of 360 as possible. It must be within 360 degrees and with a plus mark and then convert into a Zodiac sign, providing 30 degrees for each sign. The value we get should be increased by the nearest Navamsa-pada. This is the Zodiacal sign of place. But for the use of political purposes we should extend it up to the last limit of the star but within the same sign.)
