We can guess the results of elections using the zodiac sign of the capital.

First, observe the annual chart of capital. The chart of the moment of the Sun's transit over the zodiac sign of the capital is the annual chart of the state or country.

Secondly, observe the transit position of planets on the day of election over the zodiac sign of capital.

Now consider the 10^th house for the ruling party and the 4^th house for the opposite party. The strength and position of the sign and star lord and good or bad relation with the ascendant and with its lord reveal the moods of elections. Transit of the Moon and other planetary positions from the 10^th or 4^th house also has an impact on elections. The position and strength of natal 10^th and 4^th sign in annual and in election charts also indicate much about the result of elections. Natal D-10 sign of country/state clears all doubts when it gets a position in the 8^th, or 12^th house in annual chart that the ruling party is about to lose. Its position in the 3^rd, 4^th, and in 5^th houses also has a negative impact on the ruling party.

Assembly polls in Jammu & Kashmir and Jharkhand will be held in five phases between November 25 and December 20 in this year.

Let us see the possible trend of these elections by using the method of zodiac signs of a state/country.

The zodiac sign of Kashmir is Pisces (11-30^th/00), according to the formula.

a-     The 10^th lord Saturn is exalted and moved to the 7^th house from the 6^th, in the Chalit chart but posited in the 6^th house in Navamsa chart. It is strong enough to be exalted in Rasi and within the aspect of its Navamsa depositor Mercury in the Navamsa chart. But in the Navamsa it is in the 6^th house and its depositor thought aspect it but from the 12^th house! That is not good enough for the 10^th lord Saturn.

The 4^th lord Moon (See the cusps) shifted to the 6^th house from the 5^th in the Chalit chart and its depositor Mercury shifted to the 12^th in Chalit though aspect it. In the Navamsa chart, it is exalted in the 5^th house, which is good.

b-    The natal 10^th sign Sagittarius rules over the 9^th house that is of medium nature. Its lord Jupiter has a sign exchange with natal 4^th lord Mercury shows a close decision.

The natal Dasamsa (D-10) sign is also Pisces in this case and rules over the 12^th house which is too bad for the ruling party.

We can find the D-10 sign by simply multiplying 10 by the zodiac sign of the capital.

1-    Now let us see the chart of starting the election. The due date is November 25, 2014, at 7/00 in Jammu (winter capital)

The 8^th house   2-9/05;  Navamsa (64^th navamsa) Sagittarius

The 10^th house  4-15/40;  Navamsa  Leo

The zodiac sign of Jammu is 11-16/40 and the natal D-10 sign is Scorpio.

a-     From ascendant the 10^th lord Sun and 4^th lord Saturn are together in the ascendant. The Sun is at Virgo Navamsa and Saturn is at sign Cancer with Moon. Hence 4^th lord is a little better than the 10^th lord. The 64^th navamsa sign is Sagittarius which is a trine place from the 10^th house, hence bad to the ruling party.

b-    From the ascendant natal D-10 sign Scorpio falls at the 1^st house which is of neutral nature and from the navamsa ascendant it is in the 4^th house which is bad for the ruling party.  Natal's 10^th sign Sagittarius is 2^nd in the Rasi chart and in the 5^th house in the Navamsa chart. The 5^th house is not a good place for the 10^th house as it is 8^th from 10^th house. The natal 10^th lord Jupiter is in the 8^th house in Navamsa and the natal D-10 lord Mars is in the 5^th house which is also bad. Though Vargottam state of Mars as a natal D-10 lord is good for ruling party.

c-     From the natal sign Pisces, the 10^th house has Moon and Vargottam Mars which is good to the ruling party but 10^th lord in the 5^th house though exalted but not good. Natal 4^th lord Mercury is in the 9^th house and in the navamsa though weak at sign Cancer but with depositor Moon, it is good enough. The 64^th navamsa sign Sagittarius falls at the natal 10^th house which is not good for the ruling party.

After examining the annual and transit chart, we find more points in favor of the opposite party. Hence we can conclude the loss of seats for the ruling party in the forthcoming election.
