Disputed points of astrological calculations.

!!Shri!!

There are so many points necessary in the process of casting a complete horoscope, such as Ayanamsa, some Varga charts, Gulika, etc.
These deficiencies of astrology create a lot of confusion for beginner students. It raises a big question for beginners: What should I use? The deciding process is often too long and cumbersome, and takes up much valuable time.
These disputed points often become the cause of mockery to the subject and also for its followers.
Some scholars have done work in this area, but that is personal and not accepted by others. The necessity is this: all the leading schools and personalities of astrology should come forward together in this direction. They should exchange their data showing ‘How this calculation point is true over others at this particular horoscope’!
There are many unfailing predictive clues, and these can help us in the decision-making process.
Any solution should be logical and must fit on practical grounds.
Here I am giving my experience, concept, and methods of such disputed points. These may be helpful for beginners. They are free to conduct further research on these points.
1-    Ayanamsa-
Use only Lahiri ayanamsa (chitra pakshiya).
2-    Sunrise-
When the center of the Sun touches the horizon.
3-    Day-
Sunrise to next Sunrise. The night of any day is equal to the 5th day from it for predictive purposes.
4-Year-
Consider it equal to 365.25 days. The learned late author Sri R. Santhanam advocated for a year of 360 days. It is also a perplexing question.

5-    House division-
Take it as per the method of Sri Pati or Porphyry`s system.
6-    Hora-
Divide the day duration into 12 equal parts, and the value of one part is equal to one Hora. The same process will be for the night, dividing the time from sunset to the next sunrise into 12 equal parts.
7-    Gulika-
Calculate according to Parasari`s method by taking the sunrise when the center disc of the sun touches the horizon.
8-    Varga charts-
Use the Varga chart as much as possible based on continuous reckoning, making equal division, equal to said Varga chart, except in some cases of special conditions, as in the D-12 chart. We can also get the Varga position of any figure by simply multiplying the digit of said Varga for which it is known, as for calculating the D-7 chart, simply multiply the figure by ‘7’ and make it within the range of the zodiac if necessary.
9-
Judge the matters of the house from a Varga chart, for it is known or named as see the matters of progeny in the D-5 chart, and matters related to the 7th house should be judged by the D-7 chart. The 7th house stands for intercourse (conception) and may also be for delivery, so we can use it for this purpose, but the existing or live children or the child just after birth came in the signification of the 5th house so as well D-5 chart. (Child) Nourishment in the womb may come into the 5th house significations, or the 7th house also may rule it.
The role of fate is prominent in all the achievements of man, so the role of Navamsa (D-9) is also most significant as it falls in the 9th house, the house of destiny. Marriage is a much more important event in human life, the source of the best corporal enjoyment, and the secret feeling of the eternity of self in the form of his son. A father lives his dreams through his son. So, according to the much importance of marriage, our seers have put this matter to the D-9 chart, in the hand of destiny beside of D-7 chart. Though technically point of view, we should examine the D-7 chart for matters related to marriage.
10-                       Char Karak-
Only seven, avoid the shadowy planet.
11-                       Rahu true or mean!
Use only the true position of Rahu for the best result.
12-                       Karakamsa ascendant-
See the Karakamsa chart in the Rasi chart (D-1) and equally important, the Swamsa chart in the navamsa chart.
13-                       ‘Kakshya’ division of orbit for transit purposes in the Astakvarga system or for any other uses is eight in number, including the Kakshya of the ascendant.
14-                       ‘Pad Lagna’ of Jaimini`s system-
Don`t use exceptions for best results and for more accuracy, calculate ‘Pad’ taking longitudinal distance. Use the following formula –
‘Pad’ = (Longitude of house lord) - (Longitude of the house) + (Longitude of house lord), and make the resultant figure within the limit of the zodiac.
