Identifying
sensitive timings
Three main pillars define a time frame: the Sun, the Moon,
and the Ascendant. Their position in the heavens indicates events and mishaps
on Earth.
For major events, the Sun—along with the Moon or the
Ascendant—is the decisive factor; for moderate events, the Moon with the
Ascendant is decisive; and for minor events, the Ascendant or the Moon alone
determines the outcome.
A specific longitudinal position renders them vulnerable and
prone to accidents. Let us understand them systematically.
First, we analyze that celestial body in two stages:
·
The first involves the Rashi and Navamsa, and
·
The second involves the Rashi and Vedic Trimsamsa*.
· In some cases, an adverse mutual relationship between the Navamsa and the Nav-Navamsa is also among the factors contributing to an ill event. This applies when at least one deficiency weakens that celestial body's Rashi position.
(The Sun takes approximately nine and a
quarter hours to traverse one Nav-Navamsa, while the Moon takes about 45
minutes.)
Certain conditions make a planet weak and lead to undesirable results.
Let us observe the key parameters that indicate
vulnerability:
1. Weak Divisional Serial
Order:
A zodiacal zone equal to a Navamsa segment (3°20') is
considered weak if its serial order within that zodiac sign is the 3rd, 4th,
6th, or 8th Navamsa.
2. Inimical Divisional Sign
Placement:
A Navamsa
or Trimsamsa zone is considered weak if its corresponding Navamsa or Trimsamsa sign
falls in the 3rd, 4th, 6th, 8th, or 12th sign as counted from the
Rasi sign itself.
A Navamsa sign that is the Badhaka (obstructing) sign for
the Rasi sign also creates a point of vulnerability.
3. Inharmonious Sign Pairing
(Jaimini's Scheme):
The relationship between the modality (Movable, Fixed, or
Dual) of the Rasi sign and the Navamsa or Trimsamsa sign can indicate weakness.
- Weak
Pairs: Movable-Dual and Fixed-Fixed pairings are inherently weak. Even
the Vargottama zone or planets in a fixed pairing offer only weak results.
- Mediocre
Pairs: Dual-Dual and Movable-Fixed pairings are considered mediocre (a
half-negative mark can be allocated). These three deficiencies generally
mark a location as vulnerable.
4. Placement
at Zodiacal Junctions (Gandanta):
A zodiacal range falling at the extreme junction (Gandanta)
of a zodiac sign is weak. While the junction points of all signs are sensitive,
my observations suggest:
- The
junctions between Watery and Fiery signs (e.g., Pisces-Aries, Cancer-Leo,
Scorpio-Sagittarius) are the most vulnerable and often associated with the
worst calamities.
- The
junctions between Earthy and Airy signs (e.g., Capricorn-Aquarius,
Taurus-Gemini, Virgo-Libra) are also sensitive but comparatively less so.
5. Unusual planetary positions, such as planetary war, significant
eclipses:
·
Mutual planetary warfare among planets, mutual
conjunctions involving malefic planets, combustion, or around the time of a significant
eclipse.
·
Malefic planets in the Kendras or Trikonas
without benefic support, and all planets in the 4th, 8th, and 12th houses in
the Rasi and Navamsa, weaken the ascendant. A connection between the ascendant
and the 8th house is always present at any evil event.
Calculating such short-term conditions in
advance is not always possible. So, I am ignoring them and focusing on some
major influencing factors.
6. Gulika* Factor
·
According to Vedic transit principles, a malefic
transit through the 1st, 4th, 8th, or 12th house proves to be inauspicious.
Consequently, placing Gulika in these houses—whether reckoned from the
Ascendant or its Navamsa—often proves detrimental.
·
Gulika's exact conjunction up to the Navamsa
level with the Sun weakens it and can produce an evil event.
My
observations:
1- The
immovable zodiac signs, Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius, produced
evil results when the involved Navamsa sign is also immovable by nature. This applies
to the 2nd, 5th, and 8th Navamsa serial order.
2- Zodiac
signs Cancer and Capricorn produced evil results when involving the
Navamsa serial order, the 3rd, 4th, 7th, 8th,
and 9th. Though the 7th Navamsa produced a good
movable-movable sign pairing, this condition still produces only evil results.
This is an exception, perhaps due to cruel, mutually hostile, opposite signs.
However, in this instance, the pairing of
the Rashi and Trimsamsa—or the pairing of the Navamsa and Nav-Navamsa—should be
weak, in accordance with the rules described above.
3- Aries and Libra are evil in the 3rd, 4th, and 9th; the 8th serial
order is also mostly sensitive.
4- Zodiac
signs Gemini and Sagittarius are the worst at the 1st and 4th Navamsa
serial order, and the 8th order is also sensitive.
In the first Navamsa, the second degree marks
the specific point where inauspicious events manifest—specifically, when this
Trimsamsa sign occupies a 6th-8th or 2nd-12th positional relationship relative
to the basic sign.
5- The zodiac signs Virgo and Pisces are weaker in the 4th and 8th Navamsa serial order, and the 1st and 7th orders are also
weak.
6- I
believe that in this context, the sign placement of Gulika yields results
precisely similar to those of the Sun, the Moon, and the Ascendant;
furthermore, its conjunction with these entities proves to be detrimental.
Observe some incidents
1. Sumatra Tsunami (2004)
A terrible submarine earthquake in Sumatra, Indonesia, on
December 26, 2004, at 07h 58m 53s, triggered a tsunami that caused the loss of
more than 200,000 lives.
This was a highly inauspicious event; therefore, we examine
the Sun's longitudinal position.
It was 8s-10⁰40′. The 4th Navamsa of Sagittarius,
which falls in Cancer, is the 8th position from Sagittarius's original position.
The 4th Navamsa serial order, the weak
dual-movable mutual Rasi-Navamsa sign pairing, and the 8th position
of the Navamsa sign Cancer from the original sign Sagittarius make this zone
highly sensitive and likely to cause some untoward results.
Gulika: 0s- 29⁰13′, Aries sign, and Navamsa is
Sagittarius
Ascendant: 8s- 28⁰24′, Ascendant and Navamsa is
Sagittarius
The Gulika is trine to the Rasi ascendant and sits exactly at the Navamsa ascendant.
2. Ancash Earthquake, Peru (1970)
A devastating earthquake on May 31, 1970, at 15h 23m 29s at Chimbote,
Peru, caused more than 50,000 deaths.
The Sun: 1s-16⁰30′, Taurus sign, Taurus Navamsa, and
Aquarius Trimsamsa→ Rasi-Navamsa and Rasi- Trimsamsa sign pairing is at
immovable signs, which made the Sun position weak.
The Moon: 0s-06⁰44′, Aries sign, with Gemini Navamsa→
the 3rd Navamsa order, and movable-dual sign pairing is weak.
The Ascendant: 6s-06⁰26′, Libra sign with Scorpio
Navamsa
The Gulika: 6s-01⁰21′; Libra sign with Libra Navamsa
• Gulika is at the ascendant, and the 12th from the Navamsa ascendant is evil.
3. Hiroshima and Nagasaki Bombings
(1945)
On August 6 and 9, 1945, the United States detonated two
atomic bombs over these Japanese cities, causing more than 200,000 deaths.

pairing is dangerous.
The Moon: 2s-24⁰53′, Gemini sign, with Taurus Navamsa→ the 8th
Navamsa order, and the 8th sign from the original sign, Gemini.
The Ascendant: 4s-24⁰35′, Leo sign, with Scorpio Navamsa→
the 8th Navamsa order, the 4th Navamsa sign, and an immovable-sign pairing is worst.
The Gulika: 7s-05⁰59′; Scorpio sign with Leo Navamsa→ the
Gulika at the 4th from the ascendant is making the already weaker
ascendant worse.
- Nagasaki
(32°44' N, 129°52' E):
The Sun at 10h 58m: 3s-23⁰01′, Cancer sign, Virgo Trimsamsa→

is weak.
The Gulika: 5s-05⁰18′, in the Virgo sign → Position at the
ascendant is weakening it.

10. Kedarnath Floods, India (2013)
On June 16, 2013, at about 19h 15m, a cloudburst centered on
Uttarakhand caused devastating floods and landslides, with about 6,000 deaths.
This event began in the late evening and progressively
intensified. At that time, the Sun was positioned at the second degree of
Gemini, while the Moon—situated at the final degree of Leo—was at a *Rashi
Sandhi* (sign junction). However, the actual onset likely occurred much
earlier—sometime during the day—high up in the mountains; consequently, the
*Nav-Navamsa* signs prevailing at that specific moment must undoubtedly have
been inauspicious.
11. September 11 Attacks, USA

16. Haiti Earthquake
An earthquake on January 12, 2010, at 16h 53m, claimed about
100,000 to 300,000 lives.
·
There was a rare Annular Solar Eclipse with a
magnitude of 0.919, lasting for about 11 minutes on January 15, 2010. This was
the longest annular solar eclipse of the millennium, and the longest until
December 23, 3043, with a maximum eclipse length of 11 minutes, 7.8 seconds and
a total duration of 11 minutes, 10.7 seconds.
·
On the given date of the earthquake, Rahu,
Venus, and the Sun were forming a conjunction within one degree, and Mercury
and the Moon were also in the same sign, Sagittarius.
These
recurring patterns suggest that certain celestial zones possess an inherent
vulnerability that can manifest as destructive terrestrial events when
activated under suitable conditions.
This study is
not definitive; it presents a systematic framework for identifying sensitive
timings through observable astrological principles. Further research and
continued observation may refine and strengthen these indications.
