Here I am talking about the horoscope of Shri Rajneesh (Osho). His date of birth December 11, 1931, is undisputed but his birth time is not correct the 17h 13m is in vogue. Mr. K N Rao supports this time. The place of birth is a small village namely ‘Kuchwara’ near Tahsil place Udaipura within the district Raisen in Madhya Pradesh.

Some years ago, Sri Rajiv Gandhi's horoscope was published with a Virgo ascendant in the astrological magazine but later published with a Leo ascendant in the same magazine. Mr K N Rao criticizes Virgo's ascendant and considered it a serious mistake. In Rao's view, Mr. Rajiv Gandhi`s horoscope is a Leo ascendant with Leo navamsa. He takes his birth detail as 20 August 1944, 08:11:40 am War Time at Mumbai. I agree with him about other birth particulars except birth time. So, here I put forth my views regarding the Virgo ascendant. I consider his birth time as 9 h 22 m 30 seconds wartime at Mumbai. Both types of horoscopes according to Lahiri Ayanamsa are as follows:                                              

           A.    According to Mr. Rao

2) According to me his Birth Time is 9/22/30a.m.WarTime. Other particulars are same.

                                             

                             

Now note the following pointers: 

1.     Face: the calmness, charms, and politeness with little shyness are in favor of the Virgo ascendant. The presence of Mars in the Virgo ascendant is able to create Yoga for baldness.

2.     Nature: If Leo ascendant with Leo Navamsa and Leo Moon sign, then the native must be aggressive in nature. This type of nature was not of Mr. Gandhi. In spite of this, he was tolerant, calm, and shy full. These features are in favor of the Virgo ascendant.

3.     Education: His education was interrupted, before obtaining the Bachelor`s degree.

From Leo's ascendant, 5^th lord Jupiter in the ascendant with ascendant lord favors high education; whereas from the Virgo ascendant the 5^th lord is in the 10^th house and its rasi depositor is in the 12^th house. The 5^th house is occupied by Ketu. This disposition suits his case.

4.     Occupation as a Pilot: From Virgo ascendant, the 10^th house has an airy sign Gemini, with an airy planet Saturn, which is further in the Navamsa of Airy sign ruled by Airy planet! This disposition strongly favors his occupation as a Pilot.

Whereas Leo's ascendant fails miserably to prove his occupation as a Pilot or even a politician.

From Leo's ascendant, the 10^th lord Venus is in Leo Rasi in its own star and in close conjunction with the Moon. In Navamsa, Venus is in Virgo rasi and again with the Moon. This type of planetary position suggests some kind of occupation related to the Moon and Venus.

5.     Love marriage abroad: From Leo ascendant, the 7^th lord Saturn is in the 11^th house and aspect the ascendant and ascendant lord. It does not support foreign marriage as the ascendant signifies the native place. Here it gets strength from the presence of the ascendant lord in the ascendant.

From Virgo ascendant, the 7^th lord is in the 12^th with the 12^th lord Sun. The 12^th house signifies a foreign place. This proves his marriage abroad, with a foreigner.

It is necessary to have the affliction of the 9^th house for marrying out of religion. From Leo's ascendant, the 9^th house is aspected by its own lord Mars and the divine planet Jupiter also aspects the 9^th house. Both the aspecting planets are exalted in Navamsa. How can they support marrying out of religion!

Whereas from Virgo ascendant, the 9^th lord Venus is in the 12^th house in close proximity with its bitter enemy Moon. Moreover, it is being debilitated in the Navamsa, supporting the fact of moving out of religion. This combination is also bad for the pleasure of the father.

6.     Foreign stay and return: From Leo ascendant, the ascendant is of fixed nature; the ascendant lord is in the Navamsa of a fixed sign. These do not support his long stay abroad, though the influence of the 12^th lord Moon may provide the chances of a foreign trip. But from Virgo ascendant, the ascendant lord is in the 12^th house with 12^th lord. This fully supports his long stay abroad. But in Chalit chart, they move to the ascendant. This creates circumstances for his returning home.

According to sage Satyacharya, the 7^th house is the house of the foreign journey. Whenever the 7^th lord or its depositors makes an association with the 4^th, 8^th, or 12^th house, then the possibility of a foreign journey/stay is assured.

Here, with Leo ascendant, the 7^th lord is in the 11^th house; its Rasi depositor is in the ascendant and Navamsa depositor is in the 11^th (at his own Navamsa). Whereas from Virgo ascendant, the 7^th lord is in the 12^th with its Rasi and Navamsa depositor.

7.     Child Aspect: From Leo's ascendant, Gulika is in the 5^th within the malefic aspect of Mars and Saturn; out of them one is the 6^th lord, and the other is the Badhak lord.  The 5^th cum natural significator of progeny Jupiter is combust and within the aspect of the 6^th lord Saturn. Though Jupiter is exalted in the Navamsa but posited in the 12^th house. These combinations are not fit for health issues. The Virgo ascendant also has some affliction, but relatively much less than those of Leo.

8.     Sudden rise and fall: The Moon is influenced by six planets through aspect and conjunction, in both types of horoscopes. For the Leo ascendant, it takes place in the ascendant, and for Virgo ascendant in the 12^th house. It may be known to the learned readers the nature and results of the 6^th, 8^th, 12^th houses and these lords; if they provide Rajyoga, it is not stable. After the Yoga effects, they also create some kind of misfortune. This situation supports the Virgo ascendant with the infamous Bofors scandal and untimely cruel death. The Leo ascendant does not support this.

Again from Virgo ascendant, 10^th house posting, Saturn is famous for sudden rise and fall.

From the Leo ascendant, the 6^th lord is in the 11^th house. This is a combination for defeating of enemy. Whereas from Virgo ascendant the 6^th lord is in the 10^th house; which shows obstruction by the enemy in the work. It is known to all that his name got involved in the Bofors scandal and so he got defeated in the general election.

9.     Death: From the Leo ascendant, the 1^st lord and the 8^th lord are conjunct in the ascendant, with benefic influence suggesting long life, according to Prashna Marg. Whereas from Virgo ascendant, the 8^th lord alone is in the ascendant and the ascendant lord is in the 12^th house, with malefic in the angles, indicating only a medium life span.

From the Leo ascendant, the 8^th house gets three malefic aspects and the ascendant has mixed influence. This may support his cruel end, but the 64^th navamsa sign from the ascendant is Scorpio and it is within the aspect of a benefic exalted planet; its lord Mars also receives the aspect of the same planet, Jupiter, in the Navamsa, though there is also the aspect of Saturn and Sun, Sun is the ascendant cum Navamsa lord posited in an Even mild sign Taurus. Only Saturn`s aspect is considerable. But this is not sufficient to prove such an explosive cruel death. The 8^th sign of the Navamsa chart Pisces is a mild and watery sign, and it has three benefic aspects in the Navamsa.

Any probable result by the ascendant must be confirmed in the navamsa chart also for its execution.

The ascendant at the time of his death (May 21, 1991 at 22h 15m at Sriperumbdur) was Sagittarius and the Moon sign was Leo. Both were not trine or 6^th, 8^th, 12^th or 7^th from the 64^th navamsa sign from Leo ascendant. (Here I am not talking about the 64^th navamsa sign from the Moon sign, as it is the same in both types of horoscopes, and is occupied by benefic Mercury in Navamsa.)

Whereas from Virgo ascendant, the 8^th house falls in a cruel sign Aries within the aspect of fiery planet Mars, though it also gets the aspect of Jupiter. Here Jupiter is in the 12^th house with the 12^th lord and spoilt by Kendradhipatya Dosha. So it loses much of its beneficence.

The 64^th navamsa sign from the Virgo ascendant is also Aries, a cruel sign and has three malefic aspects in Navamsa and the 8^th sign from Navamsa ascendant has four malefic influences with Gulika. The ascendant and Moon sign at the time of his death are trine to this 64^th navamsa sign Aries. So, only Virgo ascendant with Capricorn Navamsa is able to explain the cruel nature of his death.

There is a famous rule that ‘square transit of Saturn from 64^th Navamsa sign from the ascendant or from ascendant lord causes the native`s death’.  In my experience, a little more corrective form of this rule is ‘ at the time of a native`s death, mostly Saturn transits square to the 64^th navamsa sign from ascendant or from the ascendant lord, sometimes from the 22^nd Drekkana sign from the ascendant and rarely from the 8^th sign from the ascendant.’

Now turn to Leo's ascendant, the 64^th Navamsa sign from the ascendant is Scorpio, the 64^th navamsa sign from the ascendant lord is Leo, and the 22^nd Drekkana sign from the ascendant is Scorpio as per Varah (I don`t agree with this kind of division, I follow the continuous division of old Vedic style, supported by Pt Ram Yatna Ojha and Sheshdri Ayer.) So, the 22^nd Drekkana as per the old style is Taurus and the 8^th sign from the ascendant is Pisces; there is no square transit of Saturn from these signs at the time of his death. Saturn was at sign Capricorn. Whereas from the Virgo ascendant, the 64^th Navamsa sign is Aries, which is in full support to the rule.

10.                         The 4^th house from Leo ascendant has only the malefic aspect of Rahu, its lord is posited in the 2^nd house, and in the Navamsa chart it is posited in the 6^th but in exaltation without any malefic aspect but within the aspect of exalted benefic Jupiter though from the 12^th house. This planetary array is not a satisfactory disposition for the cruel end of his mother.

Whereas from the Virgo ascendant, the 4^th house has three malefic influences with Gulika, being posited there and its lord Jupiter being posited in the 12^th house with the 12^th lord and also combust. The 4^th house of the Navamsa chart is also afflicted by the three malefic aspects of Saturn, Mars and Rahu. This proves the mode of his mother`s death, in a better way.

The 4^th lord in both types of horoscopes is exalted and aspected by the exalted planet in Navamsa chart showing the power and authority of his mother.

Mr. Gandhi was under the influence of Jupiter`s sub-period in the major period of Rahu, on 31 October 1984.

Now treating the 4^th house as the ascendant of mother, in the Leo ascendant chart, Rahu is in the 9^th house and Jupiter in the 10^th house with the 10^th lord, though the latter is with Sun. So, these Rahu and Jupiter have no sufficient killing power to the signification of the 4^th house.

Whereas from the Virgo ascendant, Rahu is in the 8^th house from the 4^th house and Jupiter is the 1^st lord of the mother (4^th lord from ascendant) posited in the 9^th house with Sun. The combust ascendant lord within malefic influence can kill the native and the 8^th house positing Rahu has already the killing power to the 4^th house or his mother`s 1^st house. So Rahu and Jupiter proved to kill planets to the 4^th house.

11.                         His family background: The available data about his family members create the possibility that his birth ascendant as an Even sign is more probable than an odd sign, due to the fact that his mother`s father Pt.Nehru, his mother Mrs. Indira Gandhi, and his brother Sanjay Gandhi were born even ascendants. So, my conclusion about his birth ascendant is justified.
